Letters to Heroes

Imagine being a million miles away from home and surrounded by gunfire, bombs, and IEDs going off. Imagine watching your friends fall as they stand right beside you. What kind of fear one must feel in that situation. Now imagine all of that going on around you and then going to mail call each night just to walk away empty handed and feeling unappreciated. That is what Letters to Heroes wants to prevent. We feel that every service member should recieve mail and know that they are appreciated.

We have started out Adopt - A - Service Member program. This is an excellent opportunity to show your support for our troops! We have a list of men and women serving in Iraq that are not recieving care packages and mail. This program will allow you to have a unique address, meaning that Letters to Heroes will not assign your service member(s) to anyone else in any of our programs. The requirements are simple... You must sign up, send one care package a month, and send one letter a week (email is acceptable if they send you theirs). This is also a three (3) month or six (6) month committment. The service members are NOT required to correspond back, but often do. You are required to send your letters and care packages as committed to wether they write back or not. If you do not you will be removed from the program and will not be able to sign back up. This is a $30 to $60 per month committment. You may send the care packages your self or you may send the amount that you want spent on the package and a personal letter to be included in the package to one of our organizers who will then ship a package on your behalf. We would like to see every soldier get mail while they are over seas. There are no requirements with the pen pal program other than write the soldiers at your will. Please be kind! If you are interested in this program contact us! Thanks
